SAVE THE MANATEES OF CORAL GABLES

Manatees, beloved gentle giants often referred to as "sea cows," are an endangered species native to Florida that are part of the cultural identity of our city. Every winter, they seek refuge at the end of Mahi Canal in Coral Gables, where they can find warm waters, sunlight, and ample food, essential for their survival and the nurturing of their calves.

However, the City of Coral Gables is about to approve plans for a massive 13-floor high-rise development in a U-shaped configuration around the Mahi Canal in Gables Waterway. If this project proceeds, it threatens to destroy the critical habitat that manatees depend on in Mahi Canal, putting these beloved creatures at serious risk.

Whether you reside in Coral Gables or not, we urgently need your support to OPPOSE to this project. Together, we can make a significant impact and protect the future of manatees in this vital and essential habitat.

Join us in taking action today. Sign our petition, spread the word, display a yard sign, contact the city commissioners and stand with us to safeguard the manatees and their home in Coral Gables.
